Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator
Full Time - 76 Hours per fortnight
Nestled amongst the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges is Glengollan. Spanning approximately 15 acres in leafy Ferntree Gully in Melbourne’s outer east, the facility is close to Ferntree Gully and Boronia Railway Stations and has bus stops directly outside the property. It is an approximate 30-minute drive into the CBD via Eastlink.
Job Description:
Supports the emotional, Social and recreational wellbeing of residents by planning and facilitating a wide variety of activities, fostering meaningful connections and enhancing the overall quality of life of our residents.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 year's experience.
- Diploma or Certificate in Lifestyle and Health.
- To have proven experience with elderly frail residents in Activities / Diversional Therapy.
- Studied in Dementia care would be highly desirable.
- To have ability to form appropriate relationships with a wide variety of staff, residents and relatives.
- To have well developed communication skills and ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- To have good written skills in order to document clear and concise reports of resident’s response to activities.
- Possession of a current Victorian Driver’s License.
- To have a broad knowledge of craft and music activities and possess well developed skills in time management.
- Willingness to understand AN-ACC Funding.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS), the accreditation process and requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to on-going professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to work to a deadline and prioritise.
- An ability to use a computerised Care Management system (“eCase”).
- A current Police Check (mandatory).
