This position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to mentor and support their front-line team while working alongside the Superintendent to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of planned operational performance at the Pring maintenance facility
Rotating between day & afternoon shift, your role will consist of the following key responsibilities: -
- Engage and enable our teams in delivering safely by ensuring the plan is well designed, resourced and our people are well informed by risk.
- Guide and empower the frontline teams to focus on a continuous improvement & development approach of executing our work safely.
- Lead frontline teams to achieve and surpass ambitious goals in terms of quality, on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Identify continuous improvement ideas initiated by teams with promotion & recognition of the successful collaboration & achievement of high performing team work.
- Ensure that the operational teams have the right tools, resources and knowledge with clear expectations to deliver consistent safe results in dynamic environments.
- Build a positive and collaborative culture through the awareness of expected behavioural and performance standards whilst also identifying and rectifying less than adequate performance and/or contributing behaviours.
- Take full responsibility for incident investigations within the area of responsibility and conduct timely, complete, detailed and factual reports with the focus to prevent re-occurrence and the elimination/control of risk.
About you
You will be energetic in your approach to this role and eager to encourage your people to excel. You will have demonstrated experience in leading a team and fostering a positive atmosphere in the workplace. You will be technically competent and able to guide your teams with solid, informed decisions.
- Trade or engineering qualification.
- Well-developed interactive and engagement skills, including demonstrated leadership techniques and proven routines that foster a interactive and inclusive work environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Frontline Management would be well received.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with regards to planned work, labour to task allocation, allocation of right tools/resources with a foresight to anticipate dynamic situations by enabling teams to make informed safe choices.
- You will have the ability to effectively establish and sustain professional relationships by underpinning foundations that are consistent with business objectives and that give employees clear behavioural guidance and expectations.
- Proven and demonstrated peer to peer relationship management skills
- A demonstrated personal commitment to deliver through company values
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment checks such as testing, references and medical is a requirement of this role. Please note this is not a FIFO/DIDO position.
