Primary objective
The Manager Executive Services manages a small effective team that provides strategic advice, support and project management services
to assist with the coordination of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer. This includes managing the CEO’s and Deputy CEO’s (the
Executives) day-to-day priorities as well as the timely flow of accurate information to senior executive staff, ministerial offices and key
stakeholder groups.
Context statement
This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role seeks to manage a small team and directly provide Executive
support to both Executives.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage a small team to provide high level executive support to the Executives including meeting and secretarial support, research
and project support, procurement and financial administration support.
2. Manage and coordinate the development and implementation of a range of projects on behalf of the Executives, this may include the
development of business cases, stakeholder management and project management.
3. Liaise with representatives from the Minister’s office, Executive and senior management to assist the Executives respond to ministerial
requests.
4. Prepare, develop, coordinate and process high quality, timely and reliable executive correspondence on behalf of the Executives,
including cabinet submissions, estimates papers, flash briefs, agency response papers, position papers and other reports as required,
ensuring high quality and accuracy of all executive correspondence.
5. Undertake research and analysis of various issues and provide solutions and recommendations in relation to these.
6. Facilitate and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement and good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
to ensure high-level outcomes.

Essential
1. Proven experience managing a small, busy team, including sustaining a positive workplace culture and one that seek to continuously
improve
2. Exceptional organisation and coordination skills, attention to detail including proficiency in managing competing priorities and ability
to respond flexibly and pro-actively to changing priorities
3. Well-developed project management skills including performance monitoring and reporting and an ability to coordinate stakeholders
with diverse interests to achieve a common goal.
4. Well-developed analytical and research skills with experience translating information into clear and persuasive written reports and
briefings.
5. High level oral and written communication, interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to establish and maintain sustainable
relationships with a varied range of stakeholders and people from diverse cultures.
6. Well-developed problem-solving skills including ability to exercise sound judgement, apply lateral thinking to identify and resolve
issues, and discern when to escalate emerging issues and concerns.
7. A high level of personal integrity, including the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualification in business, corporate governance or a related field.
