About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Manager for Network Services Applications to join our Digital Services team. This role is permanent and be based anywhere in Essential Energy's operational footprint within Regional NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of applications that support our vegetation management and asset inspection functions of our business. You will lead a team of specialists, shape planning and execution activities, and ensure operational excellence and outstanding customer service. Your role will involve close collaboration with various business and digital services teams, driving innovation and automation, and providing support and guidance to senior stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership to the team, ensuring a detailed understanding of the functionality and capabilities of the applications supporting the vegetation and asset business
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the functionality and capability of various applications to provide advice and guidance to users
- Champion and drive business improvements through automation to improve efficiencies and reduce operational costs
- Manage IT Service Management call volumes by prioritising and delegating work appropriately
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, and business leaders to ensure deliverables meet all defined business outcomes with the highest levels of security, safety, efficiency, quality, and simplicity
About you
You are a dynamic and experienced professional with a strong background in IT services and support. You have a proven track record of leading and developing teams, driving continuous business improvement, and managing the software development life cycle. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with your ability to think and act strategically, make you an ideal candidate for this role. You are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions and have a deep understanding of the applications supporting the vegetation and asset business.
In addition to this you will have:
- Extensive experience in IT services/support and managing third-party support providers against agreed service levels
- Strong analytical skills in debugging issues and problem resolution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong influencing, negotiation, and networking abilities
- Ability to think and act in an innovative and strategic manner
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Technology, or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
