Medical Receptionist – Full-Time or Part-Time (Immediate Start)

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy practices located in Port Macquarie and Wauchope. This role offers flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time hours, and the opportunity to provide fill-in coverage across both clinics as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming phone calls and handling patient enquiries
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Welcoming and assisting patients upon arrival
- Patient data entry, faxing, and document scanning using Best Practice software
- Liaising professionally with GPs and patients
- Prioritizing tasks and managing a busy workload effectively
- Delivering a high standard of patient care
- Handling billing, invoicing, and receipting for consultations
Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrated customer service experience, ideally in a medical setting
- Strong communication and telephone etiquette
- Ability to manage and prioritize a busy workload
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Responsible, reliable, and highly organized
- Proficiency in Best Practice software is highly regarded
