Based at the Joyce Palmer Health Service, the Palm Island Community Mental Health Service is part of the Rural and Remote Mental Health Program within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. The team provides culturally responsive, evidence-based mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services to individuals and families across the lifespan. Competitive salary and benefits
HP3: $3,030.00 - $4,453.50 per fortnight
NG6-1: $4,138.10 - $4,431.10 per fortnight
Plus superannuation, leave loading, and rural incentives where applicable.
About your opportunity
We are seeking passionate and skilled Mental Health Clinicians to join our Palm Island team. These temporary full-time roles (with possible extension) offer the chance to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment delivering intake, assessment, care planning, and therapeutic interventions for individuals with complex mental health and/or AOD needs.
Positions available:
HP3 Mental Health Clinician - Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker
NG6-1 Clinical Nurse (Mental Health Clinician)
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA or AASW
Experience in mental health and/or AOD clinical care
Current Class C driver's licence
Ability to travel by light aircraft and stay overnight as required
Compliance with VPD requirements and working with children checks
