About the role
Fixed Term Contract until end December 2027
As part of AGL’s Retail Transformation program, the Product Owner – Pricing will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our retail business. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering pricing capabilities that support simplification, digitisation, and seamless customer experiences. Working within a world-class transformation program, you’ll collaborate across teams to ensure pricing solutions are innovative, scalable, and aligned with AGL’s mission to help Australians decarbonise how they live and move.
What you’ll be doing:
- Shape the Future of AGL – Imagine and deliver innovative solutions that drive simplification, meet business case benefits, and bring AGL’s transformation vision to life.
- Lead Product Delivery – Own and refine the product backlog, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritise work to maximise business value and ensure smooth sprint planning and delivery.
- Partner for Impact – Act as a trusted advisor to delivery squads, guiding day-to-day execution, supporting cadence and velocity, and ensuring solutions align with business needs and milestones.
- Bridge Business & Technology – Translate business requirements into future-state capabilities, clearly articulating how solutions deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
- Drive Change & Resilience – Provide subject-matter expertise, make pragmatic decisions in the face of competing priorities, and demonstrate adaptability and resilience to achieve program success.
About you:
- Previous experience in the energy sector specifically with a focus on Retail Markets and demonstrated knowledge of energy pricing, including a solid understanding of retail tariffs, network tariffs and cost stack.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in project/ program environments with a proven track record for execution and ability to work with effectively with delivery partners.
- Strong ability to translate abstract ideas into structured requirements, with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, ensuring effective backlog management and sprint planning.
