About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Minor Works Manager to join our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team, based in Adelaide. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of minor capital works across a diverse client portfolio, including operational, capital, and new works projects.
You will lead the delivery of client projects from concept through to closeout, including budgeting, financial management, asset replacement, refurbishments, re-fits, building services upgrades, asset audits and life cycle planning. The role will require interstate travel to our remote location operations. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contractual and compliance requirements. NV1 clearance is desirable or a willingness to obtain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Overseeing procurement strategies and subcontractor performance.
- Ensuring WHS and environmental compliance across all works.
- Conducting property inspections, audits, and preparing business cases.
- Coordinating documentation handover including O&M manuals, commissioning data, and asset registers.
- Driving continuous improvement in operational processes and client outcomes.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Solid experience in the building and construction industry, including consultancy or trade backgrounds or Facilities Management.
- Strong project management skills and understanding of delivery models.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and contracts.
- Experience working across geographically spread environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and produce reliable reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant qualifications such as trade certificates, Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management.
- NV1 clearance is desirable or a willingness to obtain.
- High level of computer literacy.
- A proactive, safety-conscious, and customer-focused mindset.
