Fabra is a new 3D product design tool for physical products. Our platform is web-based, easy to use, and built on product templates, enabling users to create professional designs and transition seamlessly to production. With plans to expand our library to thousands of templates across multiple product categories, we’re on a journey to transform how people design and create physical products.

Who We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for a creative and technically skilled Multimedia Designer with proven experience in 3D product design. You’re someone who can translate ideas into engaging multimedia outputs, while also leading a team to deliver production-ready designs at scale.
You combine a sharp eye for detail with strong problem-solving skills, and you’re comfortable working across disciplines - from design to engineering - to bring innovative solutions to life.
As Fabra’s Head of 3D Product Design, you’ll not only produce high-quality multimedia assets yourself but also set the vision, standards, and workflows for the team.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership & Strategy
- Build and manage a high-performing team of 3D product designers, artists, and content creators.
- Develop and execute Fabra’s 3D product design roadmap in alignment with company goals.
Concept to Production
- Translate sketches, research, and 2D product ideas into engaging 3D models.
- Create scalable, modular templates and detailed digital tech packs that are production-ready.
- Present design concepts using mood boards, layouts, and prototypes to communicate effectively across teams.
Collaboration & Problem-Solving
- Partner with engineering, design, and product teams to optimise 3D assets for integration into Fabra’s platform.
- Troubleshoot complex challenges (e.g. morph targets, soft body physics, AI-assisted workflows) and deliver innovative solutions.
- Drive product innovations and automation that increase the speed and quality of 3D design development.
Design Management & Standards
- Maintain organised design libraries, templates, and archives for scalability.
- Select and experiment with tools and formats (CLO3D, Blender, Adobe Suite) to deliver the best creative outcomes.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in multimedia and 3D design.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 3+ years in multimedia design or 3D product design, with expertise in rendering and technical design.
- Education: Degree in Industrial Design, Multimedia, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D design tools (CLO3D, Browzwear, Style3D, Blender) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor diverse design teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to resolve complex design and production challenges.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Attention to Detail: High standards for quality, precision, and consistency in design execution.
Bonus Points:
- Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with animation, rigging, and texturing for real-time applications. Familiarity with Accumark, Gerber, Lectra, PLM systems, virtual collaboration tools, and Agile workflows.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

- Surry Hills NSW 2010: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
