Job Description
We now have a great opportunity for a National Strategic Asset Lead to join our Supply Chain business and our national network of fuel storage terminals.
With a national accountability, this role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
As a National Strategic Asset Lead working within the Reliability & Integrity engineering team supporting up to 30 terminals & depots across Australia, you will be directly supporting our asset owners, maintenance and projects teams.
You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, systematic approach and technical engineering guidance in the development of new initiatives and optimisation of existing asset performance to implement a long-term asset lifecycle approach to the Supply Chain national asset portfolio.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Lead and develop a capability within the Supply Chain engineering team to provide concept scoping to support the Supply Chain & Commercial businesses as well as lead selected strategic asset replacement initiatives to ensure smooth transition into project stages.
- Champion & lead the development (either directly or via support) of agreed asset integrity initiatives & projects as part of asset replacement plans identified by the Reliability & Integrity (R&I) team such as end-of-life assets to facilitate a smooth transition into project Define/Execute phases.
- Develop frameworks, guidelines, checklists and champion the integration by facilitating implementation workshops to support a systematic approach to asset management and engineering technical capability uplift within the Engineering and Supply Chain function.
- Champion and develop technical frameworks and processes to systematically approach asset integrity improvement initiatives to uplift engineering capability and knowledge across Supply Chain. Provision of subject matter expertise and technical advice to Engineering and Operations including facilitating technical capability uplift workshops, mentoring, review and support to the R&I Engineering team.
- Manage selected technical engineering standards and guidelines that support the delivery of asset management across Supply Chain.
- Contribute to a program that actively manages the review of technical and engineering standards against relevant standards (Australian & international), codes of practice and industry good practice.
Qualifications
About you
- To be successful you will be a Qualified Engineer (CPEng or working towards) with ideally over 10 years’ of experience in the hydrocarbon industry across maintenance, projects and operations with strong communication and coordination skills.
- Have extensive technical knowledge of maintenance and project requirements in Major Hazard Facilities.
- Have the confidence and capacity to align business and stakeholder priorities and provide clarity and vision for the broader team.
- Are dependable, detail-oriented and can apply innovative problem-solving skills. You will have a track record in taking ownership and delivering on your promises.
- Possess excellent stakeholder management skills (both internal and external) and are able to manage complex and strategically important relationships.
- Able to positively influence a diverse stakeholder group that includes senior management, operations, contractors, and suppliers.
- Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and effectively prioritise your time in a dynamic work environment.
