About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented NDIS Cleaner to provide high-quality cleaning services to clients living with a disability under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This role involves working in private homes or supported accommodation to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment that supports client well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and other living areas as required.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to company procedures.
- Follow personalized cleaning plans based on each client’s needs and preferences.
- Respect client privacy, dignity, and cultural values.
- Communicate clearly with clients, support workers, and supervisors.
- Report any health or safety hazards, incidents, or changes in client condition.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided (e.g., timesheets, service logs).
Requirements
- Experience in domestic or commercial cleaning (NDIS experience preferred).
- Need to bring own cleaning equipment to each shift.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and infection control.
- Current National Police Check.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- First Aid Certificate.
- Previous experience working with people with disability.
- Understanding of NDIS and person-centered care principles.
