About the role:
Our Operations Services team is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Operations Administration Officer to join the team based at the City’s Works Depot on Barlee Street, Busselton to cover a period of parental leave.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to the Operations Services team, ensuring service requests and resident enquiries are actioned in line with the City’s Customer Service Charter and expected service levels. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of operational services and act as a point of contact between the public, contractors, and internal staff. Your duties will include:
- General administrative tasks
- Data entry
- Records management
- Customer Request Management
- Handling task lists and general enquiries
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
- Maintaining registers and spreadsheets
- Potential involvement in purchasing and procurement
What you will need to succeed:
- High level organisation skills with well-developed administration skills including word processing and data entry and intermediate experience in the use of Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to confidently navigate complex or challenging interactions.
- The ability to work effectively with a diverse range of team members and contribute to the City’s strong focus on workplace health and safety.
- The resilience to work in a fast paced and often reactive environment.
