About Us

In 2008, Qantas Freight Enterprises bought Jets Transport. Today we operate as a wholly owned but independently managed business. With unbeatable reliability, security and attention to detail, it’s no surprise we’re Australia’s road feeder of choice.

Job Description

  • Enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Permanent full-time opportunity, based at the Melbourne Freight Terminal
  • 7 day rotational shift roster

JETS Transport Express is the premium road transport provider to the aviation industry. When international air cargo touches down in Australia, we’re there to get it the rest of the way to its destination. Our interstate trucking services cover the domestic legs of international airfreight operations, driving between all the major cities from our hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Perth and Adelaide.

Today we operate as a wholly Qantas-owned but independently managed business. With unbeatable reliability, security and attention to detail, it’s no surprise we’re Australia’s road feeder of choice.

The Operations Supervisor is crucial for the day-to-day management of staff and operations to ensure freight flows through our network without incident. You'll be responsible for coordinating staff including conducting Toolbox meetings on a daily basis, planning the loading/unloading of linehaul trucks, liaising with customer booking requests and responding to ad-hoc queries.

You’ll have:

  • Operational experience in a similar industry (e.g. Aviation, transport, rail, mining)
  • A valid HC and Forklift Licence
  • Shift supervisory experience
  • A good & safe driving record with a minimum 2 years’ experience with driving
  • Demonstrated commitment to managing a safe workplace
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
  • Ability to meet the requirements for an ASIC security clearance, pre-employment medical assessment, and drug and alcohol test
