This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated HR professional to grow their career in the University environment. As a People Advisor, you’ll support the People Business Partner in delivering strategic and operational HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Assist faculties and offices by understanding staffing needs and delivering tailored employee relations advice and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and employment legislation.
- Support performance management processes, including probation, appraisals, and employee development initiatives.
- Assist with recruitment activities, advising on strategy, workforce planning, and talent acquisition.
- Contribute to a range of HR administrative tasks and engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least 3 years’ experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within higher education.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to interpret policy and provide sound advice on HR/IR matters.
- The ability to support the implementation of HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in the use of HRIS and payroll systems, as well as the ability to extract and use data to inform decision-making.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $83,210.75 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
