As a Lifeguard at Glen Eira Leisure, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of every patron. From supervising aquatic areas to responding to emergencies, enforcing safety guidelines and maintaining high facility standards, your attention to detail and friendly approach will make a real difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities include:
This position is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a fun and supportive team. Learn and develop invaluable and highly transferable skills in prioritisation, critical thinking, dispute resolution, working as a team and much more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise patrons in and around the aquatic areas.
- Ensure customers adhere to centre rules and policies and Watch Around Water protocols.
- Ensure pools are appropriately set up for various aquatic activities.
- Implement emergency/first aid/resuscitation procedures as required.
- Perform a range of cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Interact with patrons in a friendly and helpful manner.
About you
To be successful in this role you need to be able to think quickly and handle high-pressure situations, with calm and critical thinking. You will demonstrate initiative and be a friendly and approachable individual who is able to interact positively with a diverse range of people.
Other requirements include:
- Current Australian Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Availability early mornings, late afternoons and weekends is a must!
