Experian's Compliance function will play an important role in this journey, supporting the business to manage regulatory risks and opportunities in a way that benefits our colleagues, our customers and our communities.

To deliver a best-in-class service across our combined, much larger organisation in A/NZ, Compliance will need to grow our team and build our capabilities, including strengthening our privacy framework.

One key focus will be to prepare the business for reforms to Australian privacy laws, while continuing to support compliance with New Zealand's own regulatory regime.

Another key focus will be to support the business to grow its Consumer Data Right (CDR) proposition in Australia, in full compliance with its obligations, while preparing for New Zealand's introduction of their equivalent regulations.

Desirable:

  • A Privacy or Data Protection-related qualification (e.g. CIPP or CIPM); and
  • Experience of using digital privacy or risk management solutions (e.g. OneTrust, TrustArc).

Work that matters - What you'll be doing

The Privacy Officer's primary responsibility will be to support the effective operation and development of the privacy compliance framework in A/NZ.

Specifically, this will include:

  • Supporting and advising the business on the reporting, investigation and remediation of identified privacy risks and issues;
  • Supporting the business to perform impact analysis on changes to privacy-related regulatory requirements, to help to identify gaps and consider potential mitigating controls;
  • Supporting the Head of Compliance & Privacy A/NZ, including the implementation of new or updated privacy-related policies and standards (including published Privacy Policies);
  • Maintaining and improving local processes, tools and templates to support day-to-day privacy compliance (e.g. for performance of Privacy Impact Assessments); and
  • Organising and preparing for privacy-focused steering committees and forums such as the A/NZ Privacy Steering Committee;
