We're seeking a talented Digital Product Designer to help us elevate our digital products
at Drive, an iconic Australian brand with a monthly online audience of 3 million. The role
brings a strong focus on rapid prototyping, user research, data insights, and AI
integration. You'll work under the Principal Product Designer, collaborating closely with a

marketplace powerhouse.

Day to day you will:

  • Rapidly translate ideas into interactive prototypes for testing and iteration, enabling faster validation and refinement of concepts.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyse qualitative and quantitative user research to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviours.
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to inform design decisions, measure the impact of your work, and optimize user experiences.
  • Explore and implement innovative ways to integrate AI into product workflows and user experiences, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Create high-fidelity UI designs, design systems, and component libraries that are intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ensure a seamless design-to-development handover and successful product launches.
  • Support the creation of ad-hoc design assets used across a range of marketing and content initiatives.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in digital product design, user interface, and user experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise.
  • A Bachelor's qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional software proficiency in Figma, from prototyping to design systems.
  • Strong skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant Adobe tools.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a genuine passion for understanding complex challenges and translating them into user-centric solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • No automotive experience is required, but a love for all things cars is always a plus.
  • Familiarity with user research platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Amplitude).
  • Proven experience in rapid prototyping methodologies and tools.
  • A strong understanding of data analytics and its application in design decision-making.
  • Enthusiasm for and ideally experience with integrating AI into design workflows and product features.
