About the Opportunity
The Program Governance Lead plays a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting the Multi Class Sustainment (MCS) Reporting Team to enable the successful delivery of ASC’s MCS Programs.
Success in this newly rescoped role requires close collaboration across all areas of the Multi Class Sustainment business unit. The position is responsible for designing and embedding governance frameworks that promote consistent and efficient program delivery, informed decision-making, and transparent performance reporting. This role blends operational excellence with process standardisation, stakeholder communication, and alignment of program management practices to ASC’s strategic priorities. It requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage without micromanaging, and a strong sense of autonomy. The role also includes acting up during leave periods and requires strong administrative and governance experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and embed governance frameworks across MCS programs
- Deliver accurate and timely performance reporting and dashboards
- Drive process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Facilitate governance committees and manage decision/action registers
- Engage stakeholders through targeted communication and collaboration
- Maintain governance calendars and documentation
- Support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights

- Proven leadership and governance experience
- Strong understanding of program delivery methodologies
- Excellent administrative and reporting skills
- Ability to lead without micromanaging and act autonomously
- Experience managing teams and acting in higher duties
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
