About the role
The Programs Coordinator role is responsible for engaging more schools in the Federal Government Sporting Schools initiative while creating a pathway for ongoing community sport participation with local clubs and coaches. The role will ensure the effective coordination and delivery of all administration processes to make sure schools and endorsed deliverers receive a quality experience with the sport.
This is a secondment opportunity which will run till October 2026.
In this role you will:
- Administer the end-to-end processes for the Sporting Schools initiative including communication with schools and coaches who have been allocated grants as part of the program.
- Liaise with the Federal Government Sporting Schools team with any queries on the program.
- Support coaches in their endeavours to become Sporting Schools endorsed, including the registration process and approvals.
- Distribute equipment packs and support material associated with each booking through the warehouse distribution centre/system.
- Collate data and process teacher registrations for the Teacher Ambassador Program.
- Accurately record and update information within databases including My Tennis, Airtable and Monday.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Deep knowledge of the Australian Tennis industry
- Strong understanding of the education industry and the challenges facing schools/teachers
- Proven knowledge in coach membership processes and approval
- High level administration skills with knowledge in database management, email and internet systems
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
