About the opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia is looking for a Project Management Specialist to lead Stakeholder Engagement activities in support our Battlespace Communications System (BCS) program. We are looking for a great communicator who can take responsibility for developing and executing our Stakeholder Communication and Engagement strategy for an exciting Land Command, Control, Communications and Computer (C4) Project.
Our ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to drive collaboration across the BCS team to ensure all project activities are in sync with overarching objectives.
This role is based in Brisbane.
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Stakeholder and Project Management Specialist who will bring openness, transparency, effective communication and relationship building strengths to support the BCS Program portfolio.
In this role, you will facilitate culture and behavior workshops aimed at enhancing collaboration and understanding among stakeholders. Your expertise in stakeholder identification, analysis, and engagement activities will be crucial in developing and maintaining partnerships with Commonwealth personnel and Defence industry stakeholders in an enterprise model working towards a common goal - delivering capability to end users.
Our ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to drive collaboration across the BCS team to ensure all project activities are in sync with overarching objectives. A proactive approach will be vital in maintaining project momentum and achieving desired outcomes. You will assist in the development of project management artifacts and communicate project status updates to all stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned with project goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Preparation, management and execution of Stakeholder Communication and Engagement strategies and plans
- Facilitation of culture and behaviour workshops
- Facilitation of stakeholder identification, analysis and engagement activities
- Developing and maintaining relationships with all internal and external Commonwealth and Defence Industry stakeholders
- Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals
- Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case. Meets with leadership to gain approval.
- Collects, organises and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance. Ensures follow up action for issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the BCS program team to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Essential Experience/qualifications
- Excellent communicator who can engage with a multi disciplinary team.
- Experience in stakeholder management, including the preparation, management and execution of Stakeholder engagement strategies or plans
- Experience in project management principles and techniques, including risk management and project planning.
- Strong organisational skills with a focus on maintaining project timelines and deliverables.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defense security requirements.
Desirable Experience/qualifications
- Experience on BCS projects and campaigns.
- Experience on Australian Defence projects.
- Knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts, and principles as outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
