About the role:
The Project Support Officer supports the Self Determination and Reform unit to achieve the delivery of end-to-end program management of targeted programs to support greater sustainability of the Aboriginal community-controlled sector, and the delivery of funding investment in line with principles of self-determination and priorities identified in the Victorian Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Partnership Agreement and Action Plan.
Attention to detail and teamwork underpins success in this role, as well as demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
The role provides wide-ranging administrative, secretariat, and support functions.

- Produce project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified; regularly communicates with, and supports project team members; ensures project objectives are met by anticipating and managing potential and emerging issues.
- Plan and prioritise work to ensure outcomes are achieved; resists the temptation to react immediately without taking time to think things through; uses strengths to contribute constructively and consciously manages the impact of own weaknesses; anticipates own reactions to situations and prepares accordingly.
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in a business administration, health discipline or relevant public policy area is desirable
- Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of working with Aboriginal organisations and Aboriginal community is desirable.
