The Opportunity
The role of a Psychosocial Support Worker is to provide support to people experiencing mental health issues. The ability to support people where there may be co-occurring conditions such as intellectual, cognitive, physical disabilities and/or substance use disorders is essential
The role includes:
- Offering mentoring, companionship and social support
- Assisting clients with community re-engagement and therapy coaching
- Transporting and accompanying clients to and from appointments
- Working individually with clients to assist and achieve therapeutic goals.
Employment Requirements:
- Working towards a Qualification / Tertiary Education Certificate in a mental health related discipline is preferred
- A successful National Police Check
- A cleared Working with Children’s Check
- A current Australian Driver’s License and ownership or on-demand use of a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Current Mental Health First Aid Certificate (preferable but not mandatory)
- Ability to meet the psychosocial and physical requirements of the role
- Patience and an authentic, compassionate desire to help others.

Pay: From $35.15 per hour
