The Glengowrie Medical Complex (GMC) is a GP owned purpose-built facility in Glengowrie, housing a wide range of tenant providers including doctors, allied health and dentists.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced receptionist to join our patient services team. This role is central to supporting both patients and tenant providers and requires someone who thrives in a busy, professional environment while delivering an exceptional standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage confidential patient information with discretion
· Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and schedule appointments
· Handle TYRO & EFTPOS transactions accurately using computer-based systems
· Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
Selection Criteria:
· Previous experience in a comparable healthcare administration role is essential
· Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and team members
· Proficiency with Best Practice & HotDoc software (or similar)
· Strong customer service, communication, and data entry skills
· Proven organisational ability with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
· Understanding of the Privacy Act in healthcare and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
· Knowledge of Medicare item numbers and private billing processes
· Experience working across multi-disciplinary healthcare teams
