About the Role
As a Renal Surgical Fellow, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care to patients undergoing renal transplant procedures across CALHN. Working within a highly skilled and supportive surgical team, you will contribute to advanced clinical services that make a meaningful difference to patient outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your surgical expertise while providing compassionate, patient-centred care in a dynamic teaching and research environment.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will actively contribute to teaching and training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, helping to shape the next generation of clinicians. You will also participate in renal transplant-related research, surgical audit, and quality improvement activities, including mortality and morbidity reviews. About You
You are a dedicated and motivated medical professional who is ready to contribute to high-quality surgical care while further developing your skills and experience. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Relevant qualifications – MBBS (or equivalent) and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
Strong clinical foundation – surgical skills and knowledge appropriate to your level of training, with experience gained through completion of medical officer 1 (intern) training.
Excellent communication and teamwork – proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to teaching and professional standards – demonstrated teaching ability, understanding of quality improvement principles, patient rights, medical ethics, and workplace safety.
