We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Research and Translation Specialist to join our team at the HCF Research Foundation. This new role will report to the Head of the Research Foundation and work actively with RF-funded researchers and the broader health services research community. The goal is to promote the translation and uptake of successful research into practice, generating measurable improvements in health care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with RF grant evaluation processes.
- Enhance the engagement of researchers with relevant stakeholders and consumers to ensure high-quality research deliverables.
- Organise stakeholder and network events such as webinars, workshops, and roundtables.
- Lead impact and outcome measurement and communications, including synthesizing reporting from funded research groups and disseminating as appropriate to relevant audiences across various channels.
- Support the Head of HCF Research Foundation in governance activities, including the preparation of internal reports, Board papers, and coordination of the Research Advisory Committee.
- Develop relationships with a range of internal stakeholders, including Member Health management, RAC members, company secretariat, legal, and HCF’s marketing and communications teams.
Key Activities:
- Coordinate the portfolio of RF-funded research and work as an active partner in translation activities such as knowledge dissemination.
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and an engaged network of researchers, health care service providers, and decision-makers.
- Deliver capability-building initiatives to enable researchers to undertake successful implementation and translation activities.
- Design and execute stakeholder workshops addressing key areas of disruption, innovation, and need in health services, and promote the uptake of effective models of care backed by high-quality research evidence.
- Contribute to the delivery of RF grant scheme processes.
- Occasional interstate travel may be required.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Allied Health, Health Services Research, or a related field.
- Strong academic foundation in health services research, and understanding of implementation science in a health services context in Australia.
- Expertise in systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and other evidence synthesis approaches, with the ability to apply these methods to inform research and policy.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across research, policy, and practice sectors to foster knowledge exchange and drive research impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into accessible outputs, including reports, journal articles, and policy briefs.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Clinical service experience.
- Social media and/or traditional media training or experience.
- Experience supporting capability-building initiatives, such as developing practical tools, training materials, and workshops for researchers, policymakers, or practitioners
