SafeHome Program Coordinator
SupportLink is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and compassionate person to deliver our SafeHome Program.
This part-time position offers flexible hours and requires relevant qualifications and/or experience. You will be joining a friendly, supportive team based in Erindale, ACT, with generous employment conditions.
About the SafeHome Program
Funded by the ACT Government and delivered by SupportLink, the SafeHome Program provides advice and support to people in the ACT who are vulnerable to property crime. The program focuses on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), helping residents improve home security and reduce the risk of opportunistic crime such as burglaries.

Services Offered
1. Face-to-Face Home Security Assessments
Based on the "Safer By Design" model, coordinators assess physical access points (doors, windows, gates) and provide tailored security recommendations.
Eligible residents (ACT Housing tenants or those with a current concession card) may also receive minor security modifications, such as door locks, padlocks, window clamps, or door viewers.
2. Community Presentations
The Coordinator delivers tailored, presentations and workshops to community groups, clients, or staff, sharing practical and affordable strategies to secure homes and deter intruders.
About the Role
This is a part-time role with negotiable hours. The position requires:
1. Conducting home security assessments and delivering recommendations.
2. Collaborating with community agencies and key stakeholders.
3. Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
Selection Criteria
· Experience supporting people experiencing personal difficulties.
· Demonstrated background in the social support sector.
· Qualifications or experience relevant to this role are essential.
· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with limited guidance.
· Solid computer skills, with experience using Mac OS and applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
· Experience with database systems.
· Current driver’s licence.
· Must hold or obtain a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card.
· Must obtain a favourable AFP Police Check (facilitated by SupportLink upon appointment).
Classification & Remuneration
Award: SCHADS Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award
Level: 4
Remuneration: Above-award salary, $96,899.00 – 104,267.00 pa (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
Salary packaging option up to $15,899 per Fringe Benefits Tax year.
