The Role
An exciting opportunity awaits a driven and strategic Sales Manager to join our Crown Sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue across events and group hotel bookings, while leading business development and account management initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong and lasting relationships and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships and unlocking the full potential of Crown’s diverse offerings.
Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead strategic sales initiatives by sourcing new clients, growing existing accounts and attending industry events to promote Crown’s offerings
- Build & maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration, exceptional service delivery and accurate handovers to operations & event planning teams
- Drive end to end quoting, negotiation and contracting processes to secure profitable, mutually beneficial event, hotel and group bookings
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities
- Prepare financial reports, track revenue performance and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Crown policies.
About You
- Proven experience in an Event Sales role with a desire to build a long-term career
- Leadership capability to mentor, support & develop team members – highly desirable
- A genuine passion for events & delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Highly skilled in developing lasting and meaningful relationships
- Strong business acumen, time management, attention to detail & negotiation skills
- Is adaptable in high pressure situations and open to change if the business requires
- Strong computer literacy skills including strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Amadeus and Opera is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with guests and stakeholders at all levels
