We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our Support Worker (Shared Living) team.

No two days are the same in this dynamic role! One day you could be helping a participant build their independent living skills and the next day you could be out and about providing recreational support and community access. This is a rewarding and varied role!
What you'll do:
- Provide person-centred support to participants
- Assist participants in achieving their personal goals
- Promote community inclusion and social engagement
- Assist participants with community outings which may include recreational activities, appointments and religious activities
- Assist participants with their daily living skills and activities within the home

What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience working in partnership with people with disabilities and their families
- Experience in the implementation of individuals support plans within a person centre active support framework
- Ability to engage with individuals in a positive active approach • Experience in supporting participants with all activities of daily living, including personal care if required.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with a ‘can do attitude’
- Good computer and report writing skills
- Valid First Aid certificate (not older than 12 months)
What you'll need:
- Australian Citizenship or Full and unrestricted working rights for Australia
- Driver’s licence and vehicle for work use with comprehensive insurance
- Demonstrated completion of manual handling training within the last 12 months 3 Desirable
- Certificate 3 in Individual Support
- Specific training related to disability, e.g. finger spelling, autism or others
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Certificate of the NDIS ‘Quality, Safety & You’ of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- Working with Children and DCP check (if required)
- Identitywa highly recommend COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations for all workers.
Availability:
We require our workers to be able to do a mix of morning and afternoon shifts and weekday, weekend shifts.
