We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead our dedicated Planning Administration team within the expanding City Planning Group. This is an exciting new leadership opportunity offering the chance to enhance planning support services, improve business systems, and contribute to shaping Clarence’s future.
About the Role
As Team Leader Planning Administration, you will manage a small, high-performing team, deliver consistent and efficient administrative support for statutory planning, and lead business improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior staff and play a key role in ensuring quality outcomes for both internal stakeholders and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support a small team delivering planning admin services.
- Coordinate support services to meet legislative timeframes and obligations.
- Improve systems and customer service outcomes through process enhancements.
- Manage documentation and records to meet corporate standards.
- Support planning-related projects and develop process documentation.
About You
You are a confident and organised leader with strong administrative expertise and a customer-focused mindset. You enjoy problem-solving, team collaboration, and driving service improvement.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in team leadership and coaching.
- Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills.
- A track record of improving systems and delivering efficient processes.
- Digital literacy and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Qualifications in Business (including Office Administration), Management, Planning, IT or a related field (desirable).
- Experience in local government or knowledge of planning systems (desirable).

- A competitive base salary: $89,760.55 – $99,774.18 will be offered, depending on skills and experience + 12.5% superannuation
- 2 year fixed-term contract/full-time
