About Us: Glenny Kebabs is a community-driven eatery founded by Asad Syed, a local resident passionate about creating a gathering place for young people, families, and workers in Glen Waverley. Since opening in 2016, we have built a reputation for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere, making us a beloved destination for diners across Victoria.
Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our team at Glenny Kebabs. In this role, you will support our kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth workflow. Your contributions will help us deliver the exceptional dining experience our customers have come to love.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for kebabs and other menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out the trash.
- Support cooking staff during busy periods by ensuring that ingredients and supplies are readily available.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with team members to create an efficient and positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $14.66 – $32.40 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 38 per week
