FIAlab Instruments Australia Pty Ltd, based in Sydney, is an affiliate of FIAlab Instruments Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of advanced chemical analysis instrumentation and control software. Established in 2024 to better serve our Australian and New Zealand customer base, the Australian office has seen rapid growth and is expanding its team.
We specialize in flow injection analyzers, used for automating wet chemistry methods across a range of analytes and industries. Our global customer base spans all seven continents and is supported by a well-established distributor network.
Position Overview
As a Technical Account Representative, you will work closely with existing and prospective customers throughout the entire sales cycle — from identifying needs to delivering tailored instrument solutions. This role combines technical sales with general business support and offers a diverse range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
- Drive sales of laboratory instrumentation to new and existing clients
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the ANZ region
- Educate prospective customers on FIAlab’s product range and assist with onboarding and integration
- Conduct product demonstrations (in-person and virtual)
- Represent the company at conferences (travel required)
Business Operations
- Manage supplier and procurement portals
- Oversee local inventory and coordinate shipping and logistics
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks and internal policy coordination
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of post-college experience in laboratory instrument sales or a closely related field
- Strong understanding of analytical instruments (experience with flow analyzers, ICP, or LC/IC/GC is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Proven organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Substantial travel domestically (~30%) and internationally (~10%) is required
- FIAlab has a strong commitment to employ local labor and the applicant must have the right to work in Australia
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline
- Prior experience with flow injection analysis or similar technologies
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows and customer support in a technical setting

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
