This role is classified as Level 3 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $89,140 - $96,483). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

Commercial Trading & Intelligence is part of SBS Media Sales. We create value through Measurement, Intelligence and Delivery.
The Role
Reporting to the Digital Pricing & Inventory Manager, the Trading Analyst will play a key role within the Pricing and Inventory team, contributing to revenue outcomes across BVOD, Audio and Television. This role is designed to provide valuable exposure to digital and linear trading and pricing functions, with responsibilities spanning pricing support, inventory management, reporting, data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. A key priority for this role is supporting major sporting events (e.g., Tour de France and FIFA World Cup) and ensuring your responsibilities assist the business in meeting its ambitious TV and digital revenue targets.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Pricing Support:
- Be involved in daily BVOD, Audio and Linear pricing decisions guided by the pre-established discount parameters
- Providing day-to-day support for the Digital Pricing and Inventory Manager and Trading
Manager, Inventory Management Assistance:
- Learn how to track inventory levels and usage.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Reporting Functions:
- Assist in generating regular reports on pricing performance, inventory levels, and sales metrics.
- Reporting of contra/barter/trade credits in coordination with both the P&I/Finance teams and sales teams and processing transactions as required.
Data Analysis:
- Gain proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools.
- Help compile and analyse data related to pricing and inventoryAbout you
We are looking for someone who brings:
3+ years’ experience in a media sales environment
Bachelor's degree (Business or Marketing preferred)
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Highly developed data analysis and problem-solving skills
Highly proficient with Excel, Tableau and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with BVOD, Google Ad Manager, IBMS and other audience analysis tools (e.g. AQX, Adobe Analytics) is desirable
