There is expertise for all orthopaedic surgical subspecialties in the surgeon workforce- hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, spine, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Elective surgery includes all the above subspecialties. There is a large volume of robot assisted arthroplasty surgeries. With a young and active population, Northern Beaches Hospital has a strong sports medicine focus. Combined trauma and elective cases numbers are approximately 4000 per year. The unique colocated private and public facilities allow both exposure to high tech and subspecialty expert surgeries, and teaching and skills development for the aspiring surgeon in training.
