We have an exciting opportunity at Downer Group for a Visa Compliance Officer.
The Visa Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all non-citizen employees maintain a valid visa. This includes monitoring and evaluating employee files to ensure that visa details and visa documentation are appropriately stored and maintaining up-to-date visa records for all visa holders working in the business.
This is a 6-month Max term contract with a hybrid work arrangement. The position reports to the Team Lead – Visa Governance, working closely with People Services, visa holders and other stakeholders to ensure that the business meets its visa compliance obligations.
This role is ideal for an administrator or entry-level candidate who has a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure immigration compliance regarding visa records and visa conditions for existing staff.
Input new visa and passport details into the HR System (HRCore).
Proactively identify and obtain missing information from visa holders.
Conduct timely and accurate visa information checks and provide support with relevant checks prior to employment (for example VEVO check to verify visa status).
