12 Buckets believes strong communities are built when our young people are seen, heard and supported to unearth their spark! We are a growing organisation that is looking for a new team member to join us in the role of Youth Liaison where you will be working alongside the young people in Balga and Clarkson.
The Youth Liaison role will be based in Clarkson on a Thursday10am-6pm and Balga on a Friday 10am-6pm. This role reports directly to the Program Manager Community and will also work closely with Youth Workers and Volunteers to support the young people accessing our programs. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Developing program plans based off young people's needs and interests
- Developing strategies to support young people in line with National Child Safe Priciples, Circle of Courage and Trauma Informed principles
- Completing all required reporting and documentation
- Developing relationships with the families of the young people to support their engagement in 12 Buckets program
- Engaging and collecting feedback from young people and using this to inform program development
- Build relationships with other community organisations to support warm referral approach.
- Support youth workers and volunteers with situations that need de-escalating to ensure the safety of all young people, staff and volunteers
- Supporting the safety and wellbeing of youth workers and volunteers with pre-brief and de-brief meetings.
Experience- Essential
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in the not-for-profit/charity sector
- Experience in developing relationships with other not-for-profit organisations to facilitate warm referral approach
- Experience in implementing program changes to increase safety and/or focus on a particular strategy and outcome.
- The ability to balance competing priorities
- Problem solving skills and developing creative solutions
- Ability to work in a busy and varied environment
- Experience in implementing frameworks
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $36.96 – $38.63 per hour
