Calvary Launceston is seeking to appoint an Access and Service Development Manager as part of the access and flow team across St Vincent’s and St Luke’s Hospitals.
This pivotal role ensures timely and appropriate patient placement, optimises inpatient access, and champions innovative service development strategies that improve care delivery and supports business growth.
Hours: Full time, permanent
Pay classification: RN Level 3A
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead daily bed management and weekly forecasting meetings to enhance patient access, flow, resource utilisation and optimal service delivery.
Coordinate inpatient bed access and staff resourcing in collaboration with Unit Managers.
Partner with VMOs and stakeholders to support service access and development.
Identify and address access barriers, and capability shortfalls to inform strategic planning, innovation and business growth.
Develop and implement safe systems that improve service accessibility and efficiency.
Identify business development opportunities, and work with clinical managers and hospital executive to develop business cases that enhance.
Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers to ensure new and developing services are supported to grow and succeed.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
AHPRA registration and minimum 5 years clinical experience.
Proven leadership and management skills, with a passion for continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of change management principles.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Drive to grow and develop clinical services to improve access to private healthcare services for Northern Tasmania
Desirable:
Experience in bed management or hospital coordination.
Demonstrated success in business development and service growth.
Sound knowledge of change management theory
