We're thrilled to announce the opening for the role of Account Manager within our NSW Sales team, based in Sydney. This role is t o manage and develop relationships with customer accounts predominantly in the Sydney CBD On Premise & High Energy sector, in order to achieve profitable brand building objectives and sales targets for all MHA brands through the proactive and innovative management of allocated resources. This territory will have a strong focus on key/trending On Premise bars, and nightlife hotspots where experience in bartender engagement and spirits advocacy will be particularly beneficial.
Job responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development
- Implement brand and organizational objectives through a strong and efficient network with On-Premise accounts
- Adapt and build on brand plans, generating innovative activations within brand guidelines.
- Manage, implement and evaluate these activities (both tailored and generic) in target outlets.
- Prospect and recruit new clients and identify opportunities for new brand initiatives.
- To maintain existing customer universe and manage renewals of all key customer contracts
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow MHAU business and visibility within this channel
- Create and implement customer focused business plans.
- To demonstrate initiative and interest in increasing brand and product knowledge
Networking & Brand Experiences
- Develop a network of contacts and key influencers within the channel to maximize opportunities.
- Act as an ambassador for our portfolio, delivering consistently excellent training and educational consumer events.
- To develop and strengthen relationships with wholesale representatives and key trade influencers.
- To Illustrate sharing of best practice through active networking with colleagues
Business Support & Monitoring
- Manage sector and brand related budgets/resources to optimum effect within agreed guidelines.
- Manage credit, payment, and invoicing procedures within set timelines.
- Balance focus between high image and high volumes accounts
- Negotiate contracts with on trade clients respecting the profitability of Moet Hennessy P&L
- To effectively manage P&L of accounts with regards to contract discussions and proposals accordingly
- Use sales reporting systems to monitor, analyse and plan business performance against target.
- Gather and use comprehensive competitor information.
- To effectively use sales reporting systems (Salesforce) to plan, monitor, report and analyse business performance against plan

- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Champagne/Wines/Spirit industry, within this channel spirits experience will be of particular benefit.
- Strong understanding of the Australian On-Premise, with a focus on high energy occasions and key NSW bars.
- Desire to immerse yourself in the On Premise, including night time trade visits and event attendance.
- Bartender engagement and advocacy experience
- Good networking, influencing and communication skills
- Knowledge of liquor consumption trends, habits and preferences of consumers in Australia
- High level of commercial awareness and an instinct for exploiting profit opportunities
- Strong Presentation Skills and ability to adjust message based on audience necessary
- Ability to conduct brand training sessions as required
- Available to travel regionally as needed to complete the requirements of the role
