Followmont Transport is seeking a passionate and service driven individual to join our team. The Accounts Relationship Officer will be responsible for collection of outstanding invoices in line with payment terms, including escalation to the AR Manager when payment terms are not met, responding to customer queries and requests while maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a part to crucial to our financial operations, and the ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Allocate payments as required and ensure payment promises as kept
- Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts receivable records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collections: Follow up with clients on overdue payments,
- Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or client queries regarding invoices.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the accounts receivable, sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth billing and payment processes.
- Communication: Ensure communication is of a professional manner in line with the Accounts Receivable standards and escalate within guidelines provided.
- Investigate: Strong investigative skills, think outside the box, be inquisitive and tenacious
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and investigation skills. – able to communicate effectively to varied customers – (empathy). Assert position when for what’s fair and owed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
