Buckland Aged Care Services is a Not-for-Profit organisation situated in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW. Buckland has an excellent reputation as a result of excellence in the provision of affordable retirement communities, care for the aged and frail and is a Home Care provider.
We are looking for a passionate Aged Care Chaplain to join the team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week)! The Chaplain provides meaningful pastoral care, supporting residents, their families and the staff in their spiritual and emotional wellbeing. The Chaplain is an important part of the whole team whose priority is to meet the needs of all our residents.
What do I need?
- Chaplaincy qualifications
- Accreditation with a recognised chaplaincy network
- Demonstrated experience in chaplaincy, pastoral care and pastoral counselling.
- Be a team player
- Be motivated and have highly effective interpersonal skills for pastoral care and communication
- Valid NDIS Workers Clearance and Australian Working Rights.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of dementia and other conditions common in older adults
- Appropriate use of software skills
