About the Role

This is a Part Time ongoing position at 30.4 per fortnight within the Hugh Williamson Gait Analysis Laboratory.

You will be responsible for the administration and organisation of the day-to-day operations, clinical support to gait analysis physiotherapists and biomedical engineers and liaison and communication with the stakeholders including children and families, clinical nurse coordinator, orthopaedic surgeons and other teams within RCH.


What you’ll achieve:

  • Supporting physiotherapists in conducting clinical gait analysis assessments
  • Demonstrating highly developed organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload and competing demands.
  • Demonstrating highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a variety of health professionals, families and gait laboratory stakeholders
  • Encourage allocation decisions that are free from prejudice or favouritism
  • Participate in department professional development activities to ensure best practise is maintained

Your skills and experience:

  • Certificate 4 – Allied Health Assistant (Physiotherapy) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of children and adolescents with previous experience in working with children (desirable)
  • Knowledge of databases and data entry experience (desirable)
  • Experience with word processing; spreadsheets; electronic publications and presentations; Endnote or equivalent libraries (desirable)
