This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW.
You will be joining the recently established Digital Team, the team is central to SIRA’s 2028 priority of becoming an intelligence-led, risk-based regulator that will deliver improved outcomes for the people of NSW.
This role sits specifically in our Digital Products team within the Customer, Data & Delivery Directorate.
SIRA is at the forefront of digital regulation, you will be working with the world leading NSW Data Analytics Centre and the NSW Department of Customer Service to deliver digital capabilities to our staff and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:
The Analyst is responsible for analysing, evaluating and generating solutions for a range of activities to support the Digital Products function. This position will transmit knowledge, skills and ideas to others to support the successful delivery of improvement strategies and projects to support the organisational strategic and operational goals.
- Significant experience in an Analyst role within a large organisation.
- End to end business analysis skills: process mapping, process re-engineering, user stories, support workshop facilitation and improvement techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver services and advice in a project environment.
- Strong understanding of the software testing, in particular UAT, SIT and sandbox testing.
- Ensure that testing outcomes meet stringent quality and performance requirements.
- Work within an Agile delivery team, engaging with development team members, subject matter experts (SMEs), operators, and various users across multiple test phases.
- Ability to understand and apply other improvement practices such as Lean, Agile or Human Centred Design is highly desirable.
- Customer Experience mindset and drive to deliver value for learners.
- High level communication skills.
About you
- A strong operator who has experience in the digital space, preferably in website management and testing.
- An analytical thinker who can think outside the box to solve complex problems.
- Proven experience in creating comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test results.
- Demonstrate sharp analytical skills, adept problem-solving capabilities, and a talent for meticulous organization.
- Proven track record in agile project environments.
- Proven expertise in either building or testing Android, iOS, and web applications or services.
- Proficient in software test automation, encompassing both user interface (UI) and application programming interface (API).
- A flexible worker who can adjust their capabilities to suit a variety of stakeholders.
- Thrives around people, working towards collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong background in public policy, preferably in the regulatory space.
