The Role
Supported by training from highly experienced print-industry people, you will be responsible for all aspects of artwork-related pre-press, including but not limited to:
- Gathering and understanding the customer’s design brief.
- Designing & typesetting everything from the simple & functional to the artistic and eye-catching. (Please note: this is NOT a role for someone who only wants to showcase their artistic flair.)
- Communicating issues and/or correcting customer-supplied artwork to ensure it is 100% commercial print ready.
- Preparing and sending artwork proofs and following up to ensure deadlines are met.
- Setting print impositions to maximise print efficiency along with technical accuracy.
- Actively assisting with customer service — answering phones, assisting with inquiries, and gathering information for others in the team. We do not have a “that’s not my job” mindset.
