UGL Regional Linx are looking for a passionate & enthusiastic Asset and Engineering Manager to join our team in Orange.
About the Role
The Asset and Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall asset stewardship of all CRN asset and engineering standards and codes to ensure all legislative, safety, design, technology, operations, maintenance, sustainability and other relevant requirements are satisfied. The role will oversee the planning, monitoring, reporting and performance of the CRN assets to deliver the service outcomes for the CRN. The Asset and Engineering Manager role is to assure the asset management framework and system is ready and fit for purpose at contract commencement. The goal of the Asset and Engineering Manager is to successfully deliver the asset management system to deliver effective and efficient maintenance and support future enhancement works on time, within budget, zero safety incidents and meet all quality expectations. The role includes the management of a small internal team and associated contractors through the mobilisation and O&M phase.
- Develop and implement an Asset Management Systems (AMS) for the CRN assets that is fit for purpose and meets all relevant legislative requirements.
- Maximise availability of CRN assets and infrastructure.
- Collect and analyse asset data about history, warranty, maintenance, and configuration management.
- Manages and monitors the Configuration Management Change for UGLRL for existing assets and any enhancement projects. This includes Chair of the Configuration Change Board.
- Responsible for the management and monitoring of Engineering requirements in accordance with the O&M Deed (Scope of Works).
- Facilitate paradigm shift from reactive to preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Lead the planning, monitoring, reporting of the Asset Management Plan, and maintenance works plan are delivered in accordance with the O&M Deed. (50AMP, 10MSP & 3MWP).
- Seek to improve the asset performance and AMS effectiveness. Monitor & Coordinate the Quality assurance plan including reviews, audits, findings, actions and certification requirements.
- Ensure the asset performance, resilience and condition of the CRN assets are maintained to deliver the long term asset outcomes such as for the client within contract requirements.
- Reduce total cost of CRN assets’ stewardship.
- Increase network capacity, asset life, performance, and ROI.
- Implement AM framework consistent with ISO 55001; establish optimal long-term asset strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, legislative, and international standards for AEO and Rail Safety Accreditation.
About You?
- Certified Asset Manager, Systems Assurance Manager or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Degree or Diploma in an Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years business operational experience within an operations and maintenance /resources industries.
- Sound understanding of Asset Management and Systems Assurance standards.
- Experienced in ISO 55001 and decision support tools.
- A minimum of 10 years’ demonstrable experience in, and sound understanding of, asset management and / or systems assurance in a multi-disciplined production, manufacturing, maintenance or engineering environment.
- Demonstrated experience with project control techniques, earned value management, risk and opportunity management, and project financial forecasting.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, email.
- Experience with Enterprise Asset ,management Systems (EAMs) in an O&M environment.
- 10 years experience across the Transport Infrastructure Industry
- A minimum of 10 years’ demonstrable experience in, and sound understanding of, project management in a multi-disciplined construction, maintenance or engineering environment.
- Experience in design and construction of specialist buildings, signalling control system buildings desirable.
- Experience in train control systems and infrastructure requirements desirable.
