- Salary Professional HEW 6 $93,891 - $101,633 + 17% Superannuation
- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working
About the Role
As the Asset & Purchasing Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting RMIT’s Information Technology Services (ITS) by managing the asset lifecycle of IT hardware and peripherals. You’ll work closely with vendors to facilitate purchasing, oversee lease settlements and asset returns, and ensure asset records are accurate and up to date.
Your work will directly support staff and students across the University, providing insights and reporting on asset expenditure, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes.
About You
You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in finance, procurement, or asset management. You excel at building strong vendor relationships and negotiating effectively, and you’re confident working with asset management systems and financial tools.
You’ll bring:
- Strong vendor engagement skills and the ability to develop collaborative supplier partnerships.
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement, or financial administration.
- Knowledge of asset management systems, processes, and lifecycle management.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.

The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP), Communications, People, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Vietnam Operations. The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups.
