Overview
The Assistant Human Resources (HR) Consultant is accountable to the Team Leader Human Resources Administration for the provision of timely and quality HR advice, consultancy and administrative functions to a designated site, including the provision of advice on a range of operational human resource and administrative procedures.
The incumbent will assist the Principal and Senior HR Business Partners in the provision of an advisory and consultancy service on human resource matters of some complexity, will assist with project work within broadly defined guidelines, maintain efficient work practices and ensure the provision of an effective resource service for the organisation.
They will assist the Principal and Senior HR Business Partners, and support managers in the areas of recruitment and selection, classification management, industrial relations, training and development, HR governance and compliance, and organisational development, OHSW and redeployment.
The Assistant HR Consultant will identify and research issues and refer more complex issues to the Team Leader Human Resources Administration. The Assistant HR Consultant is responsible for building relationships with business, which support managers and staff, as well as promoting and modelling HR best practice within the Department.
