Narrabri Community Health Service are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our team. The Transitional Aged Care Program is a hospital to home service. We support clients that have had extended stay in hospital and require support within the home. A typical week starts with a multidisciplinary meeting bringing forward previous weeks needs and planning the new week. In a typical day to day consists of presenting to client’s home to assist with personal care, some light domestic duties, social support, assisting with tasks such as shopping and attending doctors’ appointments locally if required. You won’t be working alone. You’ll be provided with a thorough orientation by the Registered Nurse (RN) and will have ongoing support from the RN, Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Community Health Service Manager. Education and professional development are supported and encouraged, allowing time to ensure all mandatory education is attended. The staff support each other and are genuine in their care of patients. We offer the highest standard of patient care, advocating for their individual needs in care planning. We work together to make a difference resourcing each other’s skills.

Requirements:Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester or trimester of second year), or currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diplomas of Nursing (completion of identified foundational units in practice AND 120 hours of clinical placement).
