Your role

The Assistant Project Officer is a critical role within the Communications and Engagement Team in the Office of the Executive Director, Infrastructure and Assets.

What you’ll do

As part of the Executive Office within Infrastructure and Assets division, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Maintenance of the I&A SharePoint site including developing ideas, researching content and ensure currency
  • Development and maintenance of Infrastructure and Assets content on DCJ intranet
  • Organising events including new starter functions, town halls, and venue openings
  • Creation of articles for inclusion in internal newsletters and publications
  • Management of the Executive Office mailbox
  • Assisting the Senior Executive Officer in a range of communications and engagement activities.
The role is part of a team of small team of dedicated professionals in supporting the Infrastructure and Assets Branch. We work in a fast-paced, busy environment so if you have excellent communication and organisational skills, have high energy levels and a great work ethic, this is the role for you.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
  • strong experience in communication and engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in managing and maintaining internal communication forums.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in event management and coordination.
