Job Description
The Team
This role is part of the 'Corporate Platforms & Technology Partnering' team, consisting of multiple technical platform management teams, including ERP and Service Management technology, alongside a Technology Partnering team. You will work closely with the Atlassian Solution Specialist, providing leadership and strategic direction while collaborating across teams to deliver enterprise-wide platform capabilities.
The Role
The Atlassian Platform Lead will provide strategic and technical leadership for SEEK's Atlassian ecosystem, leading solutions across the platform while creating and managing product roadmaps aligned with business goals. You will build and maintain critical stakeholder relationships, using effective change management and strategic communication to deliver platform capabilities that drive value and exception user experiences. This role ensures operational excellence while maintaining platform health across the entire Atlassian environment.
This role is accountable for establishing and enforcing platform standards, minimizing technical debt, and maintaining a clean, well-governed platform architecture. You'll balance strategic product vision with operational discipline, ensuring that platform enhancements are delivered sustainably while maintaining high standards of performance, security, and user experience.
This role requires a strong leadership presence to guide technical direction, mentor technical specialists, and drive cross-functional collaboration in a geographically dispersed environment, while ensuring the Atlassian platform delivers maximum business value.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Product Direction
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for SEEK's Atlassian platform ecosystem
- Lead technical visioning and architectural decisions for complex Atlassian implementations
- Establish platform governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
Stakeholder Engagement and Business Enablement
- Build strategic relationships with senior leadership and key business stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify optimisation opportunities
- Champion platform adoption through training sessions and user community engagement
Technical Leadership and Product Management
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members
- Lead design and architecture of advanced Atlassian solutions
- Manage product backlogs and drive agile sprint cycles to ensure smooth delivery
Platform Operations and Risk Management
- Ensure operational excellence and platform health through continuous monitoring and optimisation
- Manage technical risk evaluation and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee platform security, compliance, and risk management practices
Performance Management and Vendor Relations
- Monitor and analyse user experience metrics and platform utilisation
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on platform performance
- Manage vendor relationships with Atlassian and third-party providers
Qualifications
Skills and experience
- Atlassian expert-level certification (ACP-620 or equivalent advanced certification)
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in enterprise Atlassian platform management and strategic implementation
- Proven track record of developing and executing technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives in complex organisational environments
- Advanced expertise in Atlassian Cloud architecture, enterprise integrations, and complex workflow design across Jira, Confluence, and Advanced Roadmaps
- Strong experience in stakeholder management and executive communication, with ability to influence decision-making at senior levels
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Experience in estimation, prioritisation, road mapping and continuous delivery of enterprise platform initiatives
