Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Equilibrium Manufacturing — Head Office
Reports To: Operations Manager / Director
Role Summary
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of our growing manufacturing business. You’ll be responsible for managing accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and ensuring all financial records are accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and Wholesale team to ensure smooth payment cycles and help maintain the financial backbone of the company. This is a hands-on, detail-first role — perfect for someone who thrives in structured environments and takes pride in clean books.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (~3 hours daily)
- Full-cycle management of supplier invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Monitor aged payables and ensure timely supplier payments
- Process employee reimbursements and credit card expenses
Accounts Receivable (~1 hour daily)
- Allocate customer payments in Xero and reconcile statements
- Collaborate with the Wholesale Team to monitor overdue accounts
- Provide support on customer collections where needed
Banking & Reconciliations (~2 hours daily)
- Daily reconciliation of bank feeds and transactions
- Process domestic and international payments and transfers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Subcontractor & Payroll Processing (~1 hour daily)
- Process fortnightly payroll via KeyPay, including superannuation and entitlements
- Coordinate payment of subcontractors (BAS-compliant)
- Support onboarding and payroll queries from the production team
Tools & Systems
- Proficiency in Xero for AP/AR, reporting, and reconciliations
- Strong working knowledge of KeyPay for payroll processing
- Comfortable working in Excel (pivot tables, filters, VLOOKUPs)
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience (Xero & payroll essential)
- Sound understanding of GST, superannuation, and Australian payroll compliance
- Detail-oriented and highly organised — no tolerance for messy books
- Able to handle time-sensitive tasks across multiple workflows
- Great communicator, especially when chasing payables/receivables
- Trustworthy, accountable, and discreet with financial information

- All bank accounts reconciled daily
- No aged payables over terms
- Payroll and super processed on time without reminders
- Clear visibility of cash flow and real-time financial health
- The books are audit-ready — always
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.2 per week
