About the role:
MSS Security is seeking a Business Manager for a permanent full-time opportunity delivering contracted security services to a portfolio of sites within our Defence portfolio. The role will see you collaborating with Site based staff, service delivery teams, support teams and leadership.
Reporting into the General Manager, this role requires both the ability to manage operational effectiveness whilst providing leadership in managing staff and building a high performing team.
Your duties in the role will include:
- Leadership and Management: Leading and managing a large team of Security Officers including recruitment, induction, training, and rostering
- Incident management: Ensuring all incidents are reported through the correct channels and incident investigations are conducted in line with Company procedures
- Security Operations: Manage security operations and ensure all duties and audits are being conducted correctly – this includes reporting and investigation of breaches, communicating change of policy and propose risk mitigation strategies
- Training and Compliance: Ensure staff are trained, licensed, and maintain records, by conducting regular training assessments and arrange specialist training as needed.
- Health, Safety and Environment: Monitor compliance with HSE and HR policies, oversee safety procedures, and maintain supply inventory
- Reporting: Attending all meetings with site stakeholders (weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc) and providing detailed monthly reports and minutes and agenda for monthly meeting, which the Contract Manager hosts
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple sites and resolving HR/IR issues
- Solid understanding of site-based security operations and managing a large team
- Excellent understanding of roster management and contract management
- Sound financial acumen and contribute to preparation of quotes and tender processes
- Competent in report writing and build and maintain relationships with clients
- Current NSW or VIC security licence and an AGSVA NV1 or ability to obtain.
- Must be willing to be on call out of hours and provide cover for leave absence etc.
- Full Drivers Licence
